And ahead of tomorrow night’s latest instalment at Old Trafford, The Star looked at nine classic clashes between the two sides in the last 30 years.
1. March 1990 – Blades 0, Man United 1
The first meeting between these two sides in the 90s came in the FA Cup semi-final at Bramall Lane. Sir Alex Ferguson’s side eventually won 1-0, with Brian McClair scoring the winner from close range after Simon Tracey had touched his initial header onto the crossbar. Photo: Les Payne

3. August 1992 – Blades 2, Man United 1
The day Deane made history, to be forever immortalised as the first scorer of the new Premier League era. Deane headed home just five minutes into the game and later scored from the spot to seal victory, despite the visitors pulling one back. Photo: Chris Lawton
4. February 1993 – Blades 2, Man United 1
