He went back to the Magpies to try and get in their first team squad and has been involved in pre-season.

Hide AdBut Steve Bruce has hinted the 23-year-old could be allowed to move if he can strengthen his squad.
That has put Warne on red alert, though he could face competition.
“Dan is chasing his dream to get into the Newcastle squad,” Warne said. “If he doesn't get into the Newcastle squad, I'd love to take him. Whether I can beat off competition for him I don't know.
“I have to wait until get the green light from Newcastle and the player that he's available.”

Hide AdWarne has been busy building a squad that is going to keep his side in the Championship and made goalkeeper Viktor Johansson his sixth summer signing.
He does not think number seven is imminent, but he is still looking.
“There is nothing near,” the boss added.
“We are still four or so weeks away from the window shutting.
“I want something up top. The amount of chances we've created and haven't taken in pre-season would suggest we need something else.
“I'd like to get a centre mid in. I think I need one. We've got only four and Ben (Wiles) is injured at the moment so we have only three going into Saturday's game.”
