“We had a disappointed changing room and quite rightly so but we don't have time to dwell.
“We know what is at stake for us and we are running our own race. It's a race that we constantly want to be doing well at throughout but we are going to have to take some blows along the way.”
On Rotherham and their charismatic boss Paul Warne, Monk said: “I know Paul very well, he’s a great guy.

“They’re going to play with that fight and we’re going to have to match that and come out on top of it. We have our own cause which has to be out biggest motivation and strength.
We have to come fighting back as we will have to at points throughout the season.”
