Andre Green, whose free transfer was completed yesterday, became the first Owls signing of the transfer window and signs on a reported 18-month deal.
The 22-year-old, who has England caps at every age group from under-16s to under-20s, left Aston Villa in August having been at the Midlands club since he was eight years old.

Speaking to Wednesday’s club website, Green said the break from football has given him renewed determination.
“I’m so looking forward to getting started with Wednesday,” he said. “It’s been a difficult time being out of the game and we’ve all had the lockdown as well.
“But I have used that to my advantage, to try and be positive because that’s my nature. I know the pressures awaiting me playing for this football club but I am ready and equipped.

Green was linked with the Owls some months ago and is keen to lay roots at Hillsborough. Wednesday are locked in a relegation scrap and will hope the youngster can make an immediate impact in the final third. They have scored only 15 goals in their 23 Championship matches this season.
He said: “This is the perfect place for me to settle into and make a name for myself. I am at the right age to do something special.
“I have my targets and I want to accomplish them with Wednesday. This is the new start I wanted at the perfect club, it means the world to me to say to my family ‘here it is, this is it, Wednesday is my new home’. That is what this move means to me.”
