The Star reported earlier this week that Wigan Athletic man, Josh Windass, had picked up an injury that could jeopardise his immediate future with SWFC, but it appears his fellow loanees are looking to stick around.
Speaking to the media in a Zoom call today, Monk explained that they’re in the process of finalising extensions with the parent clubs of their loan players, while also confirming that Kieran Lee has agreed to extend until the end of this season.

Hide AdMonk said, “All the loans are in the training group and have been asked to extend. They’ve all agreed, and we’re just trying to finalise that with the clubs.
“Obviously with Josh, he unfortunately picked up an injury last week. What we’re going to do with that - we have until the end of the month anyway - is try and assess it and give him as much time as possible to assess where he’s at.
“It’s very difficult in the early days to assess how long it’ll be. It’s his thigh, it’s not massively serious, but we’ve got to make a decision on that at the end of the month.”
Wednesday have Windass as well as Connor Wickham, Jacob Murphy, Alessio Da Cruz and David Bates currently on loan who will see their deals expire at the end of this month.
