The 26-year-old has played 15 games in the Championship for Wednesday this season following his exit from Brentford at the end of 2018/19, though not for the manager that he expected to be in charge after Steve Bruce left for Newcastle United and was replaced by Garry Monk.
Odubajo, who has also played for the likes of Hull City and Leyton Orient, says that Wednesday’s fans are the biggest fanbase that he’s played in front of, admitting that Wednesdayites are ‘diehard’ for the club.

“This is the biggest fanbase I’ve played in front of. We’re going away to teams like Derby and Birmingham and it feels like it’s a home game. They’re selling out the whole allocation they get.
“These fans are the real deal, they’ll travel to London on a Tuesday night, support you, then go to work on Wednesday. It’s amazing what this club has.”
Meanwhile, regarding his first season at Hillsborough, Odubajo admits that he hasn’t hit the level he wants to be at yet, saying, “I haven’t started the season as well as I wanted to have, and I feel like I’ve put a lot of pressure on myself in terms of wanting to get back to where I was, and show everyone what I can do.

Odubajo signed a two-year deal back in July, and will be itching to get back on the field now that he’s fully fit once again.
