Marriott will wear the club’s number nine shirt and comes straight into contention to feature in tomorrow’s matchday squad as the Owls make the trip to Birmingham City.
The 26-year-old, whose contract at Derby was due to expire at the end of the season, signed a year’s contract extension at his parent club before completing the temporary switch to S6. Crucially, the Rams also have the option to recall Marriott in January.

Yorkshire-born, Marriott has found consistent form a little hard to come by at Derby since his signing from Peterborough in 2018. Wednesday were fleetingly linked with the lively forward in the run-up to that transfer after a red hot 33-goal season in League One earned a £3m move.
Monk has said to have been an admirer of Marriott for some time, having previously tried to take him to Birmingham.
The forward has been a thorn in Wednesday’s side in seasons past, earning a man of the match gong for his goal and assist in Derby’s 2-1 win at Hillsborough in the 2018/19 season. He also emerged from the bench to bag an assist in the Owls’ 1-1 draw at Pride Park last time out.
