The Australian was shown the first red card of his career by countryman Jarred Gillett in the 23rd minute of their 5-0 defeat at Hillsborough on Saturday and is faced with a three-match ban.
It was shown for a tackle on Blackburn midfielder Lewis Travis.

Hide AdBoth Luongo and Owls boss Garry Monk said after the game that they were confident the appeal would be successful, with Monk claiming players and staff in the opposite dugout had themselves admitted it wasn’t a sending off offence.
“I’m confident the decision will be rescinded,” Luongo said.
“There was no malice at all in the challenge.
“We’re obviously appealing it and I don’t want to say too much more [at this stage].”
