It was a wide-ranging day of news and views on Sheffield Wednesday but one theme remains high on the agenda … injuries!

Yes, we know it feels like every day someone’s dropping to the ground but actually it almost is.

Harlee Dean, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Josh Windass and Tyreece John-Jules were all added to the lengthy list of the walking wounded this week and here we are in another injury crisis.

The frustration comes from the fact that it’s nothing new. It’s a problem that has hung over the club too long and throughout its modern era, through the reigns of new managers, new players, new medical teams and new training schedules.

Lewis Wing’s goodbye message

He’ll hardly live long in the memory as a Wednesday player but having left this week to join Wycombe, he still found the time to write a nice message about the Owls. Pity it didn’t work out, there’s a player in there, jut not one that looked like he was going to do it for Wednesday. Read more HERE

Sunderland and Roy Keane could be getting back together

Elsewhere in League One we had, in my opinion, the absolutely glorious news that Roy Keane could be joining us in this division. Widespread reports suggest Sunderland have offered the former Manchester United captain the manager’s job at the Stadium of Light, where he started out in management and achieved promotion to the Premier League in 2007.
