Wickham and Windass joined the Owls on transfer deadline day until the end of the season, having found themselves on the fringes of respective parent clubs Crystal Palace and Wigan Athletic.

Hide AdMonk revealed he approaches every loan signing with both the present and long term in mind.
"They give us immediate help,” Monk said
“Whenever you bring in players, it is, if they do well, with the possibility of moving forward to bring those type of players in.
"It is definitely something we will look at but right now it is the immediate help and seeing how they get on.
"Hopefully they do fantastic and can help us get that run of games going now and push on. “We will see what happens at the end. Right now it is their job to come in and give fresh impetus to the team.”

Wickham’s time at Palace has been blighted by severe injury but he had been named in every matchday squad since the start of December for the Premier League side prior to his switch to Wednesday.
Windass has made 16 appearances for Wigan this season, scoring four goals.
