Darren Moore press conference LIVE: Sheffield Wednesday v Gillingham
Current form
Back to back wins in this leagu propel you. Our desire is to win very game and to get a win tomorrow would be excellent for us. It’ll be a difficult game, there are different types of opponents every week. If we get back to back wins by 5 o’clck tomorrow I’d be happy with that
On Florian Kamberi
He’s different player to the rst of the strikers. His contribution has been good. He’s had to find his way, get the bearings, have a look at League One. The physicality of the league - from a psychological point of view it’s something he’s had to adjust to. There’s a lot more to come from him
Loan players
Wherever I go I always take six loan players. When you take a loan player - the player may not have been playing, physically their bodies have to adapt t maybe a three-game week. It’s near impossible. You take the extra one becasue there are often strains and injuries with players. I’d still take six and welcome the added pressure of leaving one out
Bring in a defender?
That is something will be spoekn about in terms of identifying the rigt bodies. It’s part and parcel, the work will go ahead. We have a lot of gmes to worry about that before it happen s but it is certainly an area we will be looking at in the transfer window
On Callum Paterson contract
He has this season and next year - he’s still contracted to the football club. There have been talsk but the club and player feel he’s contracted beyond this season, it’s just about making sure carefully the right decisions are being made.
On Nathaniel Mendez-Liang
Just training. It’s been good to have him here. It’s been great to have him on board. He’s looking good. No timescale, initailly it was about him coming in and train - with our injuries and the lesser numbers its been great to have him as a body. We continue to do that anf focus on the games
On Sam Hutchinson
We’ve had a setback. Sam won’t be risked over the next coming weeks. We tried him in training and it’s not worked out. It comes to a stage where you ahvr to draw back and let him get fully fit. You just have to ease off a little
Ciaran Brennan
We called him back from his spell at Notts County. We are grateful both clubs have agreed. He comes into the frame in terms of being a defender and must look as an opportunity to stake a claim. He’s in with the suqd and got to be looking to keep his perfomane levels high and we’ll call upon him if need be. I told him he’s part of the squad and challenging
