Chris Waddle and Lee Bullen to lace up their boots again as Sheffield Wednesday legends unite
and live on Freeview channel 276
Waddle and Bullen have been announced alongside the likes of Ross Wallace, Marcus Tudgay and Neil Mellor as they line up for a Wednesday side against some of their Doncaster Rovers counterparts later this month at Rovers’ Keepmoat Stadium.
It’s thought that there could be a few more names to come before the event actually takes place in a couple of weeks’ time, but almost 2000 tickets have been sold already as fans look to donate to Doncaster-based cancer charity, The Eve Merton Dreams Trust, and see their heroes in action once again.

Hide AdThe trust was set up in 2011 after Eve Merton, a Doncaster woman, who sadly passed away due to ovarian cancer, and they say their aim is ‘to help the people of Doncaster who are suffering with serious or terminally ill cancer’, adding that ‘the monies we raise will contribute towards patients & their families in fulfilling a dream or granting a wish, if only for a day.’
This event in particular will see two lots of South Yorkshire legends lock horns at 2pm on May 29th, with the likes of Richie Wellens and Colin Cramb being lined up to represent the hosts.
In the past Doncaster’s legends have faced Leeds United, but this time it’s Wednesday’s turn to get involved in the good cause.
Tickets are priced at £6 for adults, £3 for kids or £12 for two adults, two children.
