“A normal goal” - Xisco Muñoz on Sheffield Wednesday’s own goal winner for Watford
Tom Lees turned the ball into his own net to give the hosts a 1-0 victory at Vicarage Road, but there looked to be two potential cases of offside in the build-up, with Ismaila Sarr and Isaac Success both pushing their luck.
Wednesday stand-in boss, Jamie Smith says he felt that Sarr was offside when the ball was played out wide to him early in the move, while Success was definitely in an offside position when his teammate tried to pick him out – only for Lees to get there first.

Speaking to the media afterwards, he said, "I thought the referee was good, it was a normal goal. Isaac was far on the side. It was a normal goal and now we turn our focus to the next game…”
He went on to add, “I think it's a goal. It's nothing special. 100 per cent, it's an own goal and it's finished."
The Spaniard did, however, praise the Owls, saying of his side, “They were very strong mentally, because today we had a very good opponent… I think they played very well, but the most important thing is all of our players gave more for the team.”
