It’s pretty well recognised that they won’t be shopping in the same market they have in recent seasons and that much of their business will be based around frees and loans.

2. Reece James - Doncaster
This one would make a lot of sense. Wednesday are without a left-back, Reece James is yet to agree terms with Doncaster Rovers and had an excellent relationship with Darren Moore at the Keepmoat. A former Manchester United youth product, he was a first teamer at Wigan and Sunderland before becoming a key man at Donny. Photo: George Wood
3. Matt Olosunde - Rotherham United
A US international of one cap, Olosunde has been offered a contract by Rotherham but is yet to agree terms. A right-back who can deputise in the middle, he looks set to get Championship interest but could be swayed by the size of Wednesday's project. Only 23, he's a good age to kick on. Photo: Stephen Pond
4. Jason Lokilo - Doncaster Rovers
A tricky winger Moore himself would have liked to have locked down for longer were it not for the financial circumstances around the coronavirus crisis, Lokilo is another that know the Owls boss well. At just 22 he would represent another good age for Wednesday. The Belgian-born Congo youth international signed for Rovers, where he impressed in 32 appearances last season, from Crystal Palace.
