Hide AdLondon-born wide man Harris spent over seven years at the South Wales club, having kicked off his career at Wycombe Wanderers. But Harris, a direct and quick player, struggled to hold down a regular starting spot last season. He made just 13 appearances as the Bluebirds failed to retain their Premier League status.
A new winger features high on Wednesday manager Steve Bruce's summer shopping list as he looks to reshape his first-team squad. The Owls are short on numbers in the wide positions, having released George Boyd and Marco Matias and seen Rolando Aarons return to parent club Newcastle United at the end of last term.
Speaking to The Star last month, Bruce said: "It's time to have a freshness about us and a bit more legs, certainly in the wide areas, and I look forward to achieving that."
Bruce is keen to bring in six new faces to boost Wednesday's hopes of competing in the upper echelons of the Championship next season.
It is understood the Owls have already agreed deals to sign defenders Julian Börner and Moses Odubajo.
