The Sheffield United manager was fielding a question from Per-Atle Karlsen when the Manchester-based Premier League correspondent for Norwegian broadcaster TV2 dropped the clanger.
Blades fans are quick to correct pundits who make the faux pas of calling their beloved club ‘Sheffield’ – so it came as no surprise when a smiling Wilder interrupted a startled Per-Atle to politely put him in his place during today’s press conference at Shirecliffe.

Per immediately offered his apologies to the Blades boss, who quickly accepted by telling him ‘it’s alright’.
A video of the light-hearted moment was shared on Twitter by United and quickly became a huge talking point among fans – as well as supporters of other clubs.
Unitedite @jagref74 tweeted: “Quite right CW. These “journalists” need educating. Hit the nail on the head, they wouldn’t be so disrespectful to call either of the Manchester clubs ‘Manchester’.”
