The Swans announced the signing at 12.45am, almost two hours after the deadline, with Freeman moving for an undisclosed fee.

Freeman made 141 appearances for United, playing a pivotal role in promotion to the Championship in Chris Wilder’s first season and remained a key member of the squad that went up into the Premier League.
