The 20-year-old development prospect, who enjoyed a spell with the Central Coast Mariners in Australia last season, has put pen to paper on a temporary deal until the end of June.
Speaking about his move to the League of Ireland Premier Division outfit, Mallon said: “It’s a chance to work hard and get in the team. I know, coming across, nothing is promised. Hopefully I can get in the team, stay in the team, and hopefully we can get some success.”

Hide AdMallon is a regular member of the Republic’s under-21 squad and featured in the Toulon Tournament last summer.
The Belfast-born man, who can play as a left winger or at left back, previously represented Northern Ireland at youth level before making the switch to the Republic at under-17 level.
