How is Reading FC’s form ahead of big matches against Barnsley and Sheffield United?
Reading FC are set to play a huge role in South Yorkshire football over the next week, as they face Barnsley and Sheffield United in quick succession.
The Royals face Barnsley at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday in the league, with Sheffield United also making the trip down south on Tuesday in the FA Cup fifth round.

What kind of form are Reading FC in?
Despite beating Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 at Hillsborough a couple of weeks ago, Reading’s recent form is actually very poor.
The win against Wednesday was the only time that the Royals have taken all three points in their last ten league games, and Steve Bowen’s side suffered a really disappointing 3-0 defeat against lowly Wigan Athletic on Wednesday night. Having embarked on a decent run upon Bowen’s appointment, Reading have slipped down the table, and now sit just five points above the relegation zone.
