After a long summer without football, Sheffield United fans will now look to shake off the pain of last season’s play-off heartbreak and look to their second attempt at promotion back to the Premier League.
The Blades face a tough test in their first match as they travel south to face relegated side Watford in the Championship - the first of a difficult run for Paul Heckingbottom’s side.
With the Hornets joining Burnley and Norwich in the second tier, the competition for a top six spot is going to be even more intense and there has already been plenty of impressive signings made in each team’s pursuit of success.
