The Environment Agency say ‘immediate action is required’ as river levels continue to rise at the Car Brook in Darnall.

River levels have risen as a result of persistent heavy rainfall, due to Storm Ciara.

A further heavy band of rain is causing the river to continue to rise.

The agency say that property flooding is possible over the next few hours today, and properties in Darnall are most at risk.

River levels are expected to rise until the early afternoon.
