Full Sheffield-London train service back up and running

East Midlands Railway were forced to start running a reduced timetable in March when many commuters stayed at home due to the pandemic.
But with more people returning to work as restrictions ease, the full Sheffield to London service is being brought back from today (Monday, September 7).

Hide AdThe train operating firm said more services would also be introduced, allowing passengers to stay socially-distanced and avoid spreading the virus.
The comapany added that face coverings should still be worn onboard by anyone who isn’t exempt.
Chris Wright, from East Midlands Railway, said: “As schools and businesses reopen across the country, we are doing everything we can to provide as much capacity as possible.
"The reintroduction of our full timetable to and from London St Pancras International, includes an additional 33 trains per day."
