Train driver involved in 'fracas' at South Yorkshire station
British Transport Police said the driver of a Sheffield to Huddersfield service arrived at Barnsley railway station at 8.10pm on Monday, December 5 and spoke to a teenager about smoking by the waiting room doors.
It is claimed the teenager, thought to be around 17 years old, became abusive and started swearing at the driverAs the train started to leave the station, the teenager is alleged to have spat towards the driver and flicked a cigarette into his cab. The pair then became involved in a fracas.

Hide AdPC Stephen Slocombe said: “I am keen to speak to anyone who may have been on the platform at the time and may have witnessed the incident."
