The job had to be done
The letter from EB Warris, brought back memories of my time as a conductress in the '60s.
Back then there were 240 pennies to the pound, everybody paid, no daily/weekly savers or travel cards.
Up and down stairs. A couple of rounds on the then 81 and 82, nicknamed the Track would soon fill your cash bag.
It wasn’t a case of being super fit, it was a job and had to be done.
Happy days.
