Teenager who ditched wheelchair for charity walk hands over £600 cheque
Jacob Hunter, who has cerebral palsy, presented a cheque for £605 to Rotherham Hospice.
The 18-year-old left behind his chair to cross the line in a Santa Dash fundraising event in just 39 minutes shortly before Christmas.

Hide AdJacob, from Bolton-on-Dearne, has limited mobility and sometimes has to use a wheelchair to get around.
He had an operation to straighten his legs and intensive physio as he grew up but was determined to walk the one mile route at Clifton Park.
He said: "When I held the cheque, It felt like I had won the lottery! It was a great feeling.
"I'm definitely doing the Santa Dash again this year. It was absolutely fantastic!"
Mum Heidi said: Watching Jacob hand over the cheque was a real proud mum moment. It was also a personal achievement for Jacob himself walking a mile. Thank you to everyone that supported him."
