Sheffield's eighth Poundland store to open on Manor Top
The discount chain is to open a new shop on Manor Top, taking over a building previously occupied by Tesco Express.
Tesco closed the shop last year after saying it was one of 43 ‘unprofitable’ stores around the country.

Hide AdWork is already under way to prepare the shop at the top of City Road for its new guise.
While no official opening date has yet been confirmed, it is expected the store will open in the near future.
Poundland’s retail director Martin Dawson said: “Poundland has grown significantly over the past 12 months and it’s fantastic to see this expansion continuing with a new store in Manor Top, Sheffield.
“We’re looking forward to opening our doors!”
Company officials say the new store will stock more than 3,500 products.

Hide AdSheffield is already home to seven other Poundland stores – with the current shops based at Meadowhall, Crystal Peaks, The Moor, Angel Street, Castle Square, Hillsborough and Kilner Way.
The company has more than 600 stores across the UK and Ireland.
It opened 60 new stores in 2014/15, creating around 1,600 jobs.
