Sheffield Wednesday: Out-of-favour Owls defender asks to move on
Welsh defender Wiggins has started just eight times since arriving for an undisclosed fee from Charlton Athletic last August.
He has largely played second fiddle to Daniel Pudil at left-back, making only three appearances since October 20.

Hide AdBristol City and Brighton Hove Albion are thought to be interested in recruiting the 28-year-old.
Carvalhal said: “I believe he [Wiggins] will not stay. I think he will move and I wish him all the best because he’s a good guy and professional. He’s a good player.

“Rhoys came to me and told me he wanted to move. I have spoken face to face with him in the last couple of days. It’s only him who has requested to go and I understand because he’s 28-years-old and didn’t play much last season.
“Rhoys needs to play and thinks there is strong competition with Daniel Pudil so he doesn’t think he will get a chance here. I understand his situation.”

Hide AdThe Owls head coach knocked back Wiggins’ request to go on loan two months ago.
“At that moment, I said to him it wasn’t possible as the transfer window was closed and I didn’t want to do any short-term loans,” Carvalhal revealed.
