Sheffield United named as one of worst clubs in country for number of fans arrested and serving banning orders
According to Home Office statistics, released today, there were 54 Blades serving football banning orders last season, up from 53 the year before.

Hide AdThere were only three other clubs with more banned fans than Sheffield United – Birmingham City, Grimsby Town and Newcastle United.
Sheffield United also had the fourth highest number of fans arrested last year – a total of 41, with 51 per cent of arrest made at home games.
Stoke City, Leeds United and Aston Villa were the only clubs with more fans arrested.
Nationally, football-related arrests dropped by 10 per cent in the 2018/19 season compared to the previous year.

Hide AdHome Office statistics show there were 1,381 football-related arrests in England and Wales last season.
Of those, the most common types of offences were public disorder and violent disorder.
There were 1,771 football banning orders in force on August 1, 2019, a decrease of three per cent compared to the same date in 2018, when 1,822 were in force.
The duration of a banning order can range from a minimum of three years up to a maximum of 10 years.
Sheffield United has not yet commented on the new figures.
