Sheffield United: "I didn't get a fair chance," says Terry Kennedy as defender leaves
The Barnsley-born Blades Academy graduate revealed on Twitter that his 15 year stay at the club has come to end, adding that he felt he "didn't get a fair chance."
Nigel Adkins said, following Sunday's end of season defeat to Scunthorpe, that meetings would take place this week to sort out the futures of out-of-contract players and Kennedy's is the first news to emanate from those one-to-one talks.

"Been a frustrating season personally as I feel I didn't get a fair chance but that's football.
"Just want to thank the fans for supporting me through good moments and helping me through some dark times. Met some great people over the years and wish the club the best in the future UTB (Up The Blades)."
The 22 year-old has featured just three times for United this season under Adkins, with two of those coming in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. The only league game he played in was the 2-1 defeat away to Port Vale in October and was sent out on loan to Cambridge in November but played just twice.
