They have been offered emergency accommodation at a hotel but need to find a house to rent because of the new coronavirus lockdown due to begin on Thursday.
The family has been warned to expect to be out of their home for at least six months and to prepare for the possibility of demolition.
Sheffield Council’s environmental health department and the Environment Agency are investigating the incident.

“It’s bricks and mortar to me but it is devastating for my wife to lose our home in this way.
“Come Thursday when the new lockdown starts we don’t know where we will be living because we are currently in a hotel and they are affected by the new rules.”
