Sheffield casino steps up safety measures after stabbing
A 30-year-old man was stabbed in the head and neck at Genting Casino, in the city centre, during May.
The casino has applied to introduce a range of additional safety procedures in the wake of the assault.

Hide AdNon-glass drinking vessels will be used at the premises on Charles Street for certain occasions, to be determined by a risk assessment, a new licensing application states.
The Sports Lounge entrance on Arundel Gate will also be closed on occasion and casino members could be asked to queue separately from non-members, with the latter charged an entrance fee.
A notice of the casino's search policy will also go on display, advertising how random searches will be conducted when it is deemed necessary.
The licensing application was received by Sheffield Council on Friday, July 6 and people have until this Friday, July 20, to have their say.

Hide AdThe attack took place shortly before midnight on Saturday, May 5.
Detectives investigating the incident last month released CCTV images of two men being sought in connection with the attack.
The man's injuries were initially thought to be life-threatening but he has since been discharged from hospital.
