Popular Doncaster hotel to re-open after coronavirus lockdown

The hotel chain has invested in a multi-million pound Covid-19 safety and social distance programme called TravelodgeProtect+ which has been introduced at Doncaster Travelodge at Lakeside.

Hide AdThe Doncaster hotel is one of a further 100 UK Travelodge hotels opening this week.
During the lockdown, Travelodge kept 62 hotels open across the UK from Plymouth to Aberdeen to support key / critical workers, vulnerable groups and local authorities.
Travelodge has taken its key learnings whilst operating in the lockdown and launched TravelodgeProtect+ a programme of cleaning and social distancing measures in line with government guidance - designed to keep its customers and teams save and protected post lockdown.
The programme includes
Comprehensive cleaning throughout its hotels using an antiviral disinfectant – effective against Coronavirus

Hide AdAdditional post clean room checks with digital tracking in place to ensure consistently high standards
Increased cleaning frequency in high touchpoints in public areas and rooms
All linen and towels thermally disinfected
Comprehensive training of every hotel team member on cleaning, hygiene and social distancing
Installation of customer hand sanitiser stations in key locations in the hotel
Protective reception screens

Hide AdSignage to mark social distance points throughout the hotel including check-in markings
Monitoring the number of customers in a designated area such as the reception area and lifts
PPE provided for all hotel team members
To minimise contact, housekeeping team members will not enter customer’s rooms during their stay

Hide AdIn addition, as hotels are not allowed to currently operate their restaurants or serve a hot breakfast buffet, Travelodge has launched a new version of its popular breakfast box that customers can purchase from their hotel reception desk or online at just £5.25.
The new ‘Breakfast To Go Box’ will ensure Travelodge customers can still continue to kick start their day with a tasty breakfast and enjoy complimentary tea and coffee in their room. The company calibrated with its business and leisure customers to help design the new enhanced eco- friendly ‘Breakfast to Go Box’ which is 100% recyclable. The compact box contains the nation’s favourite breakfast delights which include:

· Pain au chocolat
· Orange juice
