In a supporting statement provided with the plans, the applicant said the proposed run times are between 12noon and 5pm on working days.
They added that they plan to put in place a number of safety measures including fireproof flooring below the still with safety points clearly marked around the room and a small, solid brick wall between the still and collection unit to isolate any flames from alcohol being produced.
They also said there will be limited waste product, noise and smell as waste will be disposed through existing management, waste ethanol will be watered down and disposed through a drainage system and an extractor fan will remove any smell.
