Hide AdDLP Planinng submitted an application to Sheffield Council to transform former offices - next to the school - into a nursery.
If approved, it will accommodate around 62 children aged between six and eight, looked after by 14 members of staff. It would be open from 7.30am to 6.30pm weekdays.
The proposals include an indoor play area, kitchen, office space, toilets, a staff room, an outdoor play area and five car parking spaces.
So far, there has been 31 written objections, almost all of which raised concerns about traffic.

Hide AdLisa Reid, head teacher, said: "Parking around the school is dangerous - it's an accident waiting to happen.
"We have no objections to the nursery, it's just the access and this would make it more dangerous."
She said they had some near misses around the area and were already fighting to get better enforcement and red lines in place.
Councillor Mike Drabble, representative for Richmond ward, was supporting them with this. He said he was very impressed with the school for how they were handling it and that the initial drive for better safety came from pupils.
