If plans are approved by Sheffield Council, JD Gyms will move into unit 2B at Heeley Retail Park, Chesterfield Road, next to Currys and Bargain Buys.
More than 24 of the gyms are dotted around the country, the nearest at the moment being in Doncaster and Barnsley so the company hope to "fill a gap in the market".

It would be open 24 hours every day with classes running between 6am and 9pm and costs starting at £9.99 a month.
JD Gyms said this operating time was important to them as it would allow customers more flexibility if they work shifts or unsociable hours although added they expect it to be quiet during night-time.
Montagu Evans, on behalf of the developer, said in the application: "The proposed development will bring a long-term vacant premises back into an economically viable use.
