Pat Midgley passed away, aged 82, at Sheffield’s Northern General Hospital on March 29.
Tributes poured in for the much-loved Labour councillor who served on the authority for 33 years and was still working hard for residents until as recently as March 17.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 15, at noon, and Joanna is asking people to remember her in ‘whatever way you think she would have liked’.
Joanna said: "Thanks so much to everyone for the lovely messages and tributes we have received about mum.
“It's been so helpful and comforting to hear about the difference she made to so many people's lives and the love so many people have for her.

"If you knew mum please take a little time to remember her next Wednesday at noon, in whatever way you think she would have liked - enjoy a tea or coffee with cake, remember a story about her, light a candle, phone someone for a chat – mum never got the hang of texts, FaceTime and WhatsApp but they are also acceptable - donate to a foodbank, do something kind for someone else…
“In lieu of flowers and a funeral collection we have set up an online fundraiser in mum's memory for three local charities which meant a lot to her.”
So far, £250 has already been raised through the fund which goes towards the S2 Foodbank where Pat was a regular helper, St Wilfrid’s Centre, which provides support for homeless people, and ASSIST Sheffield, which helps destitute asylum seekers.
