Councillors will next week decide on a £25m scheme to transform derelict wasteland on Penistone Road in Hillsborough.
The site, opposite the entrance to the Kop at SWFC, would be developed for an Aldi plus a Costa Coffee drive-thru and takeaway.

The new Aldi would be in addition to the one on Flora Street, which Aldi says is massively overtrading with customers often struggling to find parking.
Up to 250 jobs would be created but there have been objections from nearby Morrisons and Asda plus Hillsborough shopping precinct, Kilner Way retail park and Fox Valley.
At the same planning meeting, councillors will also decide whether to allow Lidl to open a new supermarket at Malin Bridge.

Most recently, the Wednesdayite fans’ group have used it for match day parking but they have since found a new location.
Ecclesfield-based Jaguar Estates say the scheme has been in development for five years and the current site is an eyesore for the 60,000 commuters using Penistone Road every day and the thousands of football fans.
Development director Patrick Herbert said: “Having grown up in the local area I know this site well.

“We have an opportunity to create jobs and massively improve the vista along Penistone Road and make Sheffield look far better to people coming into the city.
“We’re investing in landscaping and improving the cycle route on Penistone Road. It’s a good scheme and I’m looking forward to contributing to making the area better.”
There would be investment in the cycle route running along Penistone Road and pedestrian crossings.
Councillors will decide at a meeting on Tuesday, January 28.
