Police called to Sheffield cinema over fighting at gang film Blue Story screening

South Yorkshire Police has said officers were deployed to Cineworld at Valley Centertainment on both Saturday and Sunday ahead of screenings of controversial movie Blue Story which tells the story of gang violence in London.
A spokesman said the force was now liaising with the cinema over future screenings.

Hide AdSouth Yorkshire Police said officers were sent on Saturday night and officer were also deployed on Sunday though there were no reported disturbances.
A force spokesman said: "Senior officers from Sheffield will be liaising with Cineworld over the coming week to discuss further screenings of this film."
Two cinema chains - Vue and Showcase - dropped the film after seven police officers were injured during a brawl at an entertainment complex in Birmingham at the weekend which saw five people arrested after violence broke out.
