Professor Stephen John Haake, professor of sports engineering at Sheffield Hallam University will be awarded for his services to sport.

Hide AdProfessor Haake said: “I was shocked, amazed and then thrilled when I was told about this award. No-one works alone and the award tells you that I’ve worked with some fantastic people over the last thirty years. They know who they are – I wouldn’t have got this without them.”
Professor Sally Shearer, executive director for nursing and quality at Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, will be awarded for her services to the NHS.
Professor Sally Shearer OBE said: “I am stunned and absolutely over the moon! It was a complete shock to learn that I have been chosen to receive an OBE. I am deeply honoured that my career has been recognised in this way as nursing means so much to me. I am so very proud that this has been awarded during the International Year of the Nurse and Midwife, how fabulous is that!”
Mr Gordon Wilson Bridge will be awarded for his services to the community in South Yorkshire.

Mrs. Jane Ann Havenhand will be awarded for her services to the community in Dinnington, South Yorkshire, particularly during Covid-19. Since the Covid-19 crisis began, she has become the volunteer coordinator and leader of The Dinnington Coronavirus Action Group, which is manned by volunteers based at the Resource Centre but since lockdown is now coordinated from her own home.
Professor Helen Dawn Rodd, professor and consultant, paediatric dentistry, school of clinical dentistry at the University of Sheffield, will be awarded for her services to young people and NHS leadership.
