Sheffield church donations raise hundreds for Royal British Legion as they honour fallen in 'special' service

St Mark's Church in Mosborough held an socially distanced ‘Act of Remembrance’ around its war memorial today, November 8.
Leaders of groups and organisations from the area were present to lay wreaths and tributes on behalf of residents because of coronavirus restrictions.

Hide AdKnitters from the parish also created a cascade of poppies for St Mark's Church in Mosborough.
A spokesman from the church said: “It was so special. Despite the restrictions we were able to honour with reverence and respect those who gave their lives in the service of their country.
“The poppy cascade will remain in place until at least Armistice Day, Wednesday, thank you to all who have donated to the Royal British Legion, when I left church the donations were over £257 and online have so far raised over £130.”
