Hide AdYinka said: “It is my fervent wish to support the trust in promoting primary care, supporting mental health, learning disability, social concerns, and other specialist services.
“I believe diversity of race, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, and culture should be celebrated and respected with equal opportunities for all. It is the right of every single member of the Trust to be heard and have their concerns practically and sensitively addressed.
“As a black woman who has lived in the United Kingdom for over 30 years, I can support the Trust in building a happy and efficient workforce as we deliver excellent care. In addition, having a disability myself, I feel even more able to empathise with our clients, patients, and colleagues.
“I find it a great honour and privilege to have been given this opportunity at SHSC, to serve as a non-executive director in the city I love and in a crucial field of health.”
