So when he heard that some young people don’t get the right start to the morning, he decided to do something about it.
And after running a total of 3.6km around the family’s garden in Greenhill, he has raised a fantastic £120 for South Yorkshire youth homelessness charity Roundabout.

“He kept seeing people in the streets and he would ask what was happening and why they didn’t have homes and families so we had the conversations about helping him to understand that everyone’s circumstances are different and how people need support at different times of their lives.”
Then, having seen the Roundabout website and hearing that a donation of £50 can provide breakfast for a young person at the charity’s hostel for a week, he was determined to do some fundraising.
“He’s a big fan of breakfast so he really understood what that meant,” said Cathy.

“He’s a very special little boy and we were all very proud of him because he was so determined.
“He only has little legs so he was exhausted but he still managed an ice lolly celebration at the end!”
