Lucky members of the public are being given the chance to pick up envelopes filled with FREE cash today – and rush hour commuters in Sheffield were among the first to be given the chance to get their hands on a bit of dosh.
Cashback site Quidco.com is giving away £10,000 to cheer up passers-by on Blue Monday, known as the single most depressing day of the year.
But those wanting the money had to be fast.

And Sheffield was the first stop of the day, with money handed out at the city’s railway station between 8am and 9am.
The Quidco team were handing out envelopes with either £5, £10, £20 or £50 in cash.
Some envelopes also contain scratch cards, meaning the prize inside is completely random.
