Man struck his partner after row
Martin Munro, 43, of Old Hall Road, Brampton, Chesterfield, headbutted his partner at Wingerworth after a row between the couple escalated.
Prosecuting solicitor Sarah Haslam said: “They have known each other for 20 years and have been in a relationship for three years. He was regularly at her address and on this occasion the police were called.”

Hide AdMunro told police there had been an argument and he accepted headbutting his partner on July 30.
Ms Haslam added Munro had been drinking and the couple had been arguing and the defendant went to the park but they continued arguing before he headbutted her. Munro, who has two previous convictions for assaulting his partner, pleaded guilty to the third assault against the complainant.
Defence solicitor Denny Lau said the prosecution was based on Munro’s admissions because the victim refused to give a statement.
Mr Lau added that Munro had walked away but he was followed and by the time he returned another argument had started and he committed the assault. The court heard how Munro also aims to walk away from the relationship.
Magistrates sentenced Munro to ten weeks of custody and he was ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.
