Man rescued from burning house by Sheffield firefighters
A man was taken to hospital after a fire at his home this morning.
Firefighters were alerted to the blaze at the property in Scraithwood Drive, Shirecliffe, at 8am.
He was rescued from his flat by firefighters before being treated by paramedics.
The fire started in the lounge and smoke-logged the rest of the flat.
An investigation is underway.
