Inquest opens into death of motorcyclist killed in Bamford
Jonathan Marshall, 46, of Walkley Crescent Road, Sheffield was killed on the A6187 Hope Road, Bamford on Sunday August 23 at around 12.30pm.
Mr Marshall, a manager at Sheffield based engineering firm Firth Rickson, was riding an orange Honda Fireblade 1000cc bike with the registration number YB10 UXK.

Hide AdHe was travelling from Bamford towards Hope when, on a right hand bend near the Rising Sun pub, he collided with another motorcyclist riding a Harley Davidson which was turning into the pub car park.
Mr Marshall was thrown from the vehicle where he hit a small boundary wall belonging to the pub and died at the scene.
The Harley Davidson rider suffered a fractured shoulder in the collision.
Mr Marshall was identified at 1.45pm by Nicholas Poulfry, an off duty police officer who had known him since he was 14-years-old.

Hide AdDC Darren Parkin of the Derbyshire Police collision investigation unit, said police investigations were at an early stage and a post-mortem examination had yet to be completed.
He appealed for any witnesses who may have information about the incident to come forward, an appeal that was reiterated by Assistant Coroner James Newman.
Mr Newman set a date of November 22 for a further review of the case, at which point it is hoped the police and post-mortem investigations will be complete.
