Hundreds of young people turned out for the latest Youth Strike 4 Climate march, which was the most important date in their diaries today, Friday, February 14.
Demonstrators gathered at Devonshire Green at 11am before marching through the city centre to Sheffield Town Hall.

Hide AdIt was the latest in a series of school walkouts in the city, inspired by Swedish teenager Greta Thunberg who has become the spokeswoman for her generation on the climate emergency facing our planet.
Sheffield Youth Strike 4 Climate, which organised the event, said it wanted to express solidarity with regions around the world experiencing disasters due to global warming, including Australia, which has been ravaged by wildfires.
“Let's send a clear message to world leaders that this isn’t good enough, and end climate injustice,” it added.
