Doncaster shoppers donate unwanted clothes to raise cash for children's hospice
Almost 1,000 bags of donated clothes, toys and books will be sold off to raise cash for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice in Rotherham.
The 971 bags – up 80 on the previous year – were donated by shoppers and workers at Lakeside Village, Doncaster.
The project is set to raise £14,000.
Cheryl Sadler, centre manager at Lakeside Village, said: “Yet again our shoppers and staff have shown their generosity by donating to this well- deserving cause. This is a fantastic amount of money to have raised for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice and we urge visitors to Lakeside to help us raise even more. Please don’t throw away unwanted items.”
