Doncaster drink driver caught by police dog
Trusty police dog Alfie managed to catch the driver who was then arrested for drink driving and driving without insurance in Rossington on Wednesday December 23.
The arrest comes as South Yorkshire Police confirmed they would be cracking down on drink driving over the Christmas period by naming and shaming offenders.

Roads Policing Chief Inspector Glen Suttenwood said: “We don’t want to stop people enjoying themselves with friends and family dur ing the festive season, but we want them to think about the negative, life-changing possibilities for them if they choose to drive while under the influence of alcohol.”
The move is part of the force’s ‘No Regrets’ campaign for the Christmas season and covers four strands of alcohol related crimes over four weeks.
