Donate your Percy Pud
Steel City Striders and Strideout Running Club decided to introduce the charitable twist to the popular festive Sheffield race, which sees runners receive a Christmas pudding at the finish rather than the traditional medal.
Paula Moffat, of Strideout, said: “The original idea came about after one of our members, halfway around last year’s race - while very out of breath - spluttered “I don’t know why I’m doing this, I hate Christmas pudding!”

We asked our own members last year if they would like to donate their puddings to a local scheme providing Christmas lunch for those that had nowhere to go, and had a great response.”
Any puddings collected at the donation point, on December 4, will be split between the Cathedral Archer Project, helping the homeless in our city and the Sheffield S6 Food bank.
